CONDUCTOR
"I'm always in a good mood after a rehearsal with Will!"
- Charlotte, choir member
William is an experienced choral conductor and animateur. He works with a range of community choirs, choral societies, chamber choirs and church choirs, performing in a variety of sacred and secular contexts. He is a staunch believer in encouraging full and holistic singing from his choirs, and a champion of the social benefits of ensemble based music making.
William started directing the University of Nottingham's auditioned chamber choir, Viva Voce, before heading to London to take the reins of the Imperial College Chamber Choir in 2011 until 2018. He took the choir from strength to strength and, as well as termly concerts and international tours, he established a fortnightly evensong at Holy Trinity, Prince Consort Road.
Since January 2017 William has been the director of Cholmeley Choral Society based in Highgate, and runs a number of ensembles across London.
